How To Carry 2x Your Bodyweight! (TWGU Vol. 3)

strong. healthy. happy.
Tuesday 9.3.19

Happy Labor Day! If you're looking to end the summer strong, you have to get loaded carries into your routine. Summer ending? No Way! It's Time To Get-Up and Go.

Ditch the crunches! Grab something heavy and take a walk. Loaded carries deliver a ton of bang your buck. Just ask Wendy, who carries about 1.75x her bodyweight in the above video.

From developing grip strength to building core/back endurance, carries are a must for your workout routine. There are an endless variety of beneficial carries and they transfer to everyday life seamlessly for most people. We all carry groceries, carry our kids, help our friends move (okay maybe not that last one).
Did you know that over 90% (yes, 90 percent) of the visible signs of aging are caused by the sun's harmful UV rays. So when we hosted our 4th Annual Primal Field Day two weeks ago, we were happy that CPG client, Jeff Meyer, recently launched a men's skincare start-up called Bottlecode. According to Jeff, the right daily SPF can block over 93% of those skin wrinkling rays and keep you looking younger, longer.

Check out Bottlecode's unique onboarding process and get a FREE SPF when you use the code SUNBLOCK at checkout.

I'm a huge fan of Audible. In the last year, I've gotten into the habit of listening to books at very fast speeds.

Recently, while on a drive back from Indianapolis to Chicago, I listened to a book called The Go-Giver.  In this short parable (3 hours) the authors explain the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success. If you want to learn about how you can give exceptional value and enjoy extraordinary results, then I definitely recommend this book.
Community is our secret sauce. Check out last week's highlights.

That's how many pounds CPG record-holder Brandon Jones-Harris deadlifted at the 2017 Tactical Strength Challenge (see video below). This mark was good for 2nd place worldwide.
"Shoutout to Sean and Grant for making me stronger, faster, and more explosive."
This was the feedback from Brandon in 2015, two years prior to his 675 PR Deadlift.
